is a second-year M.A. candidate in Russian, Eastern Europe, and Central Asian Studies at Harvard University. Her research interests include transition, democratization, authoritarianism, and welfare regimes in post-Soviet republics. She is also a Ph.D. Candidate at the Heinrich-Heine University in Duesseldorf, Germany, and is working on a dissertation comparing the democracy promotion policies of the US and the EU in Azerbaijan.
BRI is a non-profit think-tank launched by independent experts aiming to provide a local and international audience with analysis, opinion, surveys, and research on a variety of issues in Azerbaijan, including social and religious issues, the economy, and history. BRI collaborates with both local and international experts specializing in Azerbaijani studies and those interested in the region.
