Jamil Hasanli
is a distinguished Azerbaijani historian. He was a professor at the Baku Sate University and Khazar university of Azerbaijan. His publications include the monographs "The Sovietization of Azerbaijan. The South Caucasus in the Triangle of Russia, Turkey, and Iran, 1920–1922" (The University of Utah Press, 2017), "Foreign Policy of the Republic of Azerbaijan: The Difficult Road to Western Integration, 1918-1920" (Routledge, 2015), "Khrushchev's Thaw and National Identity in Soviet Azerbaijan, 1954–1959" (The Harvard Cold War Studies Book Series, 2014) and many others translated and published in many languages
