is an award-winning Azerbaijani journalist and political analyst. In 2005, he was named the Honored Journalist of Azerbaijan. In 2008, he received the Gerd Bucerius Free Press of Eastern Europe award for achievements in the development of independent media. A former political prisoner, he is currently living in exile in Europe.
BRI is a non-profit think-tank launched by independent experts aiming to provide a local and international audience with analysis, opinion, surveys, and research on a variety of issues in Azerbaijan, including social and religious issues, the economy, and history. BRI collaborates with both local and international experts specializing in Azerbaijani studies and those interested in the region.
