Aneta Strzemżalska is an associate researcher and a PhD candidate at the European University at Saint Petersburg, Russia (expected degree: PhD in political anthropology on a subject “Mugham, Meykhana, Jazz. National Identity in Contemporary Azerbaijan”). She is a regular contributor to “New Eastern Europe”, a bimonthly news journal which focuses on Central/Eastern European affairs.
BRI is a non-profit think-tank launched by independent experts aiming to provide a local and international audience with analysis, opinion, surveys, and research on a variety of issues in Azerbaijan, including social and religious issues, the economy, and history. BRI collaborates with both local and international experts specializing in Azerbaijani studies and those interested in the region.
